and strengthen our faith through intentional time with Him in prayer, Bible reading, and worship.

Why We Are Fasting
• To seek a deeper connection with God.
• To grow spiritually through prayer, meditation, and worship.
• To humble ourselves and rely on God for strength.
• To focus on spiritual growth rather than physical needs.
What to Do During the Fast
• Stay Hydrated – Drink plenty of water.
• Pray & Read the Bible – Replace meals with time in God’s Word.
• Worship & Meditate – Focus your thoughts and praise on God.
• Seek Strength – When weak or tempted, pray for God’s help.
• Stand Firm – Expect temptation; lean on God’s Word for strength.
How to Break the Fast
• Ease Back In – Don’t go straight to a heavy meal.
• Start with Liquids – Begin with soups or broths.
• Choose Gentle Foods – Go for light, low-carb, easy-to-digest options.
Day 1 – October 1
Theme: Renewal of Strength
Scripture: Isaiah 40:31 – “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
• Individual: Pray for supernatural renewal of your personal strength to endure and finish 2025 strong.
• Corporate: Pray for God to renew the strength of our church, city, and nation—that weary leaders, families, and systems may find endurance in God.
• Community: Call out teachers, parents, first responders, and community leaders who need fresh energy.
Day 2 – October 2
Theme: Focused Pursuit of Purpose
Scripture: Philippians 3:13–14 “Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
• Individual: Release past failures and distractions, pressing forward to finish strong.
• Corporate: Pray for the church in D.C. and across the nation to walk in focus, not division, distractions, or stagnation.
• Community: Cover youth and young adults. Pray that they would pursue purpose over peer pressure, and the community would provide mentoring and opportunities.
Day 3 – October 3
Theme: Breakthrough & Barriers Removed
Scripture: Isaiah 43:18–19 “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth.”
• Individual: Ask God to break barriers of fear, doubt, and financial limitation in your life.
• Corporate: Pray for strongholds of injustice, poverty, and systemic oppression to be broken in our communities.
• Community: Intercede for D.C. neighborhoods. Pray for renewal, safety, and resources to spring forth in forgotten areas.
Day 4 – October 4
Theme: Walking in Victory
Scripture: Romans 8:37 “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
• Individual: Declare personal victory over depression, fear, and spiritual warfare.
• Corporate: Pray for victory for the Church, unity across denominations, racial divides healed, and bold witness in the public square.
• Community: Pray against violence in our city and for peace in neighborhoods; declare victory over cycles of gun violence, crime, and addiction.
Day 5 – October 5
Theme: Divine Alignment
Scripture: Proverbs 3:5–6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart… in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
• Individual: Pray for your personal plans, dreams, and finances to align with God’s will.
• Corporate: Pray for divine alignment of The Tab DC with God’s vision for 2025 and beyond. Ask God to align churches across the city with His Kingdom priorities.
• Community: Intercede for government officials and civic leaders—that they would lead with wisdom, compassion, and justice.
Day 6 – October 6
Theme: Release of Blessing
Scripture: Deuteronomy 28:12 “The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens… and to bless all the work of your hand.”
• Individual: Pray for personal increase, open doors, and overflow in your household.
• Corporate: Pray for God’s blessings to flow into the church’s ministries, outreach, and community development work.
• Community: Intercede for economic revival in D.C., more jobs, resources for underserved families, and entrepreneurship opportunities in marginalized communities.
Day 7 – October 7
Theme: Finishing Strong in Faith
Scripture: 2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
• Individual: Thank God for carrying you through the fast and declare that you will finish the year with faith, purpose, and joy.
• Corporate: Pray that our church family finishes strong spiritually, financially, and in impact. Ask for unity, revival, and bold witness in the final quarter.
• Community: Pray that our city and country finish 2025 strong. Peace, justice, and renewal across every sector.
